About My Independent Study

I am interested in designing lessons that teach children about the environment, and ultimately fostering a love and interest in our natural world. I am exploring how art can be used as a medium for change. I hope these lessons educate students about current environmental issues and teach them about the connection between art and the environment. So much of art highlights the relationship between humans and nature, but that relationship has changed. At the end of this project I hope to have learned more about writing effective educational programming and leading art projects.
